James,
So you are at it as well....competition then.....!

Actually I have seen this before...honest but you got in first...tis a wonderful display with an audio/visual infusion of high quality..congrats to the camera person.

Just shows the fantastic display line at Old Warden showing off a little gem that we love.....OK stop now before I break into verse...

As for the potential error....who is this Caroline Grace ?  does CAROLYN have a twin sister who also flies a Spitfire.....Huh??

Regards
Andy

Well done for the find James! It is a good piece of footage. The commentary, apart from the 'line' issue, is really extremely good and timed perfectly to the display, I am most impressed with him.

Maybe Carolyn doesn't have a twin, but this could be a cousin or an aunt or some moonlighting on the side.

That is a really interesting shot - where did you find it or is it a mock up.  Good name!

Hi Carolyn, it is not a mock up.  A friend sent me a postal card of it from the Evergreen Aviation Museum (home of the spruce goose.)  If you go to this link
http://www.sprucegoose.org/aircraft_artifacts/planes_fighters.html   and click on the title Supermarine Spitfire Mark XVI, it downloads a very nice pdf
about its history which is interesting.   I am  not sure when the "Carolyn" logo appeared, but will do some research.

Carolyn,
There's a close-up shot of the name here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kensaviation/2448369292/sizes/o/

Wonderful display - watched it loads, but to say Caroline instead of CAROLYN once is not good, twice is bad, three times unbelievable but four times is a cardinal sin - but lets forgive as the pleasure our Carolyn gives us all is wonderful. Look forward to seeing you all in June. Cool
