Monday evening I got back from the Flying Legend airshow with bitter-sweet memories.
Here are some shots I took on Saturday and Sunday.

Regards  The Dude

I will always remember this moment as I met Basil "Stapme" Stapleton..as we where talking together and he was writing something for me in his book.

I moved the post into here so it is in the right place Smiley

The pictures are blocked in my office so I will look forward to looking through them when I get home this evening!

Hi,

It's a Sea Fury T2 I think, or similar designation.

Sea Fury T20  - ex RNHF.

This aircraft used to be with the RNHF at Yeovilton until it was crash landed in a field and hit a tree. The aircraft moved to the USA where it was restored with a 'US standard' interior(A little bit plusher on the inside than it was in RN days). TFC at Duxford then acquired her and she came back to the UK earlier this year. Legends was her first public airshow appearance. Our very own Stevie K has flown in this aircraft when she was still with the RNHF - lucky man!!

Beautiful photos.  Especially interesting was the shot with 3 variants of the B-25 Mitchell Bomber as I had not seen one with a top turret.  The reenactors looked like they were having a great time.  Thanks Dude.

Yes......some really great pics. I sometimes wonder what happened to the B25 which someone left sitting around at Shoreham circa 1975/6 when I used to have flying lessons there??

Yes, I  remember that B-25 too....it was painted silver and red. It was impounded for non-payment of ramp fees after some film work. It is a mystery what happened to it though.

Its a great show but for some reason our favourite spitfire is never invited to participate so some us diehard supporter send the entrance fee or the cost of the post show video along with our Grace Spitfire Supporter's renewal to Carolyn

Nice pics Dude thanks for sharing
