Just popped out for a breath of fresh air where I work at BT Martlesham this afternoon around 15:30 and heard a very unmistakable sound up in the clouds. Closely followed by the visual of someone putting a Spit through its paces. Looked and sounded suspiciously like ML407.
Am I correct in my assumption?
Will be keeping an eye and an ear open in future, just in case!! Smiley Smiley Smiley

Wow I could not believe my ears. It was a beautiful if slightly cloudy day and we had not seen another person for over two hours. The gentle Suffolk countryside was as I'm sure it has been for years and as we stood on top of the ridge looking towards the Deben I could not help but imagine those WW2 planes returning to their bases across Eastern England. But am I dreaming or hallucinating I can hear a Spitfire approaching or can I ? Then I see it under the cloud, barrel rolls in front of our noses and then executes a perfect loop. This is too good to even waste time getting the camera out. A surreal moment and today I was delighted to see the plane again courtesy of James May and thus made the connection. Thanks to whoever piloted the plane on the 16th. I will be following ML407 in future.
