I attended the Battle Prom this weekend (July 24th) at Hatfield House and thoroughly enjoyed it. But the highlight of course was the display by Caroline Grace in the ML407 Spitfire, it was truly exciting and moving. I'm particularly fond of Spitfires as my father was an airframe fitter during WWII working on both Spitfires and Hurricanes, in fact I still have some of his hand written notes made during training.

Although the cloud came over Hatfield that evening and the light wasn't great, the air display by Caroline was wonderful to watch, and my wife and I would like to thank you for the experience. I hope you like the photo I took of the occasion, this was the last fly past before the victory roll.

Hello Simon

Thank you very much indeed for posting the photo which is really good, and the light would have been awful for photography!  I am so pleased that you enjoyed my display in the Grace Spitfire and that it was moving, which it is supposed to be with the combination of the music.  Feedback is of the utmost importance.

I hope the music faded as I did the last pass and victory roll which is my aim.

Thank you again

Carolyn Grace
