I love ML407!

Thanks for the intrest regarding 407's rear canopy:the difference is apparent from the images you were all so kind to post.
 Now to re-phrase the question.Is this item specially maufactured to, maybe, Nick's design, or a modified item from another aircraft?
Please help put some old aeromodellers out of their misery !!

A good first topic i see, thank's for all the info and pic's i didn't have a clue about the twin-seater spit that's why i got involved on here to improve my knowledge

Suggest you purchase the 2nd TAF Spitfire book from me as it gives you a large amount of accredited information, however in the absence of this :-

The 'Grace in line Canopy conversion' was a minor modification that Nick took out on his design based around the picture he had of the Russian two seat configuration.  He had actually completed the rebuild of the rear cockpit to the standard Supermarine with all frames etc in place and called me up very excited to say look at this - he had placed the spare front canopy over the rear cockpit and it looked great. From then he took apart that which he had put back together and did the minor mod not only for the more streamlined look but also for the consequential removal of any speed restrictions.

I shall order the book, plan to visit duxford Wednesday/Thursday (don't know which) due to me being on half term. What hangar is she in as there are movements everyday
