I am happily watching Caroline and ML407 doing their stuff in the sky on ITV at the moment, and could cry at the rubbish amount of research that ITV have done for this. I might be having a maudlin moment here at the moment but if this programme is meant to pay tribute to the people who fought and won...why can they not be more accurate?

Still, watching that roll over the white cliffs did bring a lump...

Yep, I watched it too, some very nice A2A of ML407 and the victory roll over the white cliffs.....what can you say.
We need to salute all the people who were invoved 70 years ago.
Very good to see Joe Roddis as well.

I really enjoyed wathing this this programme - I like Sir Davids down to earth & very genuine approach, (I do like all of his programmes & particularly liked his programme about the Sandringham reg't a few years back)
I have to say it's the first time I've seen a B-o-B tribute programme that really did include everyone inclluding the ground crew, observer corp & of course the 'Few' who are sadly becoming ever Fewer.
(I'm sure there have been many other programmes that include everyone but it's the first one I've seen to include everyone)

I thought the BBMF coverage of a/c preperation was a nice touch although it would have been nice to include more of ML407 to include the engineering side of op's etc  - not enough time though I guess as they did cover a lot of subjects in the programme.

I loved the part where they spoke of the 85 yr old lady who told how they could interpret the chain home radar return footage - a well balanced programme I thought & very nicely finished off with Sir Davids flight in ML407.
