I love ML407!

« on: December 12, 2010, 08:18:21 PM »

Whilst out shopping at a local garden centre I spotted a calendar with various pictures of Spitfires in it. On closer inspection it contained two pictures of ML407 which was great but in One she was described as a MkVI and in the other as a MkV !!! If people are going to use photos of ML407 they could at least give her the right designation.
I don't know if it just ignorance or laziness on the part of the calendar makers but either way it annoys the planespotter in me Cheesy

Maybe we should have a Calendar of pictures of just ML407.

Best wishes

Rob, I don't know why that is but if you go to a certain online auction site, I find that if it has more than 2 engines or more and it's British, it's invariably a Lancaster even when it's not even close! Same thing with photographs where the aircraft is say a Wellington.

I do agree though, if you're going to have the picture, at least get it right!

Cheers,
Clive from Canada.
