Carolyn,

Just been watching the BBC and the UTUBE postings and it is just superb that you and ML407 have been able to celebrate this event.
The new engine does sound very different......I did not see the "Running in Please Pass" notice on the tail !!!!
Just a bit upset I could not make it.

Regards and all the best as always

Brilliant stuff and great links to videos: many thanks for those. I would love to have been there, but busy at work all day and no chance to skive off, sadly.

A great start to the year, with lots of excellent publicity as well, including for the sponsors - all grist to the mill.

Congratulations to all involved, as always.

Best wishes,

John

Hi everyone

I just thought I'd join up to thank Carolyn for honouring Southampton with a magnificent display yesterday and to share a few of my pictures.

Thank you all for your kind comments and good wishes. ML407 behaved impeccably, even the weather picked up in the afternoon for the display.

We could not get back yesterday so have only arrived back a short while ago.  I am somewhat tired from over emotion I think.  I will give James a full news item next week so check the website.  It has been quite a few weeks to get ready for this and now to have carried out such an important commemorative flight -- phew!

Big -huge - thanks to Steve and Richard for their outstanding work.

We also thank the exceptional continued sponsorship of JLT Insurance Brokers who renewed on the 18th February.

We are blessed with good people, you all included!

til later

Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,  I was delighted to see you fly over my house in Eastleigh over the weekend.  You may not remember me but I worked as an assistant and dubbing editor on TVS'  documentary "Going Solo".  Pity we were not allowed to see you at the airport, which is just down the road from me.  However, magnificent to see you and ML407 overhead.

Kind regards

I was at Eastleigh Airport for both the AM and PM and would like to pass on my thanks to Caroline and all involved with ML407 for the superb tight display during the afternoon.
It was great to hear the Merlin over Eastleigh again, and to see ML407 for the first time personally in a long time...

Also, the staff at the airport deserve praise for its tolerance of people wishing to watch the event from the Airport, something they usually frown upon.

All the best for 2011 Caroline and team, and please bring her back soon Smiley

The feedback on this is marvellous, thank you so much it means an enormous amount to me and to our Engineers Steve and Richard.

The staff at Southampton Airport were exceptional in both their support and organsiation of the event and media.

I am amazed that there was something on Radio 4 - excellent stuff.
