So, which gets the biggest reaction - the kiss, or the BoBMF Fly-Past? You be the judge. (As for the poor chap trying to broadcast from the Lanc - he never really stood a chance, did he?)

I was there, so you didn't have to be!

Happy Royal Wedding/May Day Bank Holiday.

Best wishes,

I watched BBC1 coverage, and yes I saw he was having a little trouble  Grin  I'd rather hear and see the BBMF than listen to the commentary to be honest...there just wasn't enough being shown though!

Thanks for posting John...and I think the BBMF have it  Smiley

Have a great day and long weekend everyone!

Mike

Excellent - just goes to show the immense sense of pride the nation feels when they see the BBMF aircraft.

Would love to see the footage of the chap broadcasting from the Lanc.

You didn't miss much: from what I saw on the recording that my wife made at home, there were two very short clips from the Lancaster, neither of which worked properly. On the first, they cut away from the commentator after he'd done a short intro, and on the second, the picture broke up almost instantly. I guess there's some recorded footage form the flight, but very little made it in to the live coverage.

John

Hey, I was working! If you go to the Royal YouTube site and fast forward the complete video to 3hrs 16 mins 09 secs and pause it, slightly to left of centre of the picture, you can see what looks like a dead badger on a long stick. At the bottom of the stick, hidden by a bunch of other people having a nice time, is your truly, recording for the archive, with aching feet. The recordings will no doubt appear in some production or other, I'm sure.

See you soon,

John
