Recording the past for the future.

Excellent display by Carolyn today, with enthusiastic participation from the German defenders!
Good weather, but a tad windy, I felt. Followed up by an equally enthusiastic ground battle, then tea and cake.
Off home now to check recordings.

Best wishes,
John

If it makes a noise, I'll record it. If it moves and makes a noise, I'll record it in in high definition surround-sound.

so pleased you were there John.  It was incredibly rough air - very challenging displaying in that to such a tight display box with STansted controller having warned me that 1 mile north I was in controlled airspace, which I knew and was aware that teh power cables to the north were a no go area.  Good crowd - I could not see any smoke from the atacking guns due to the wind I suppose.  Hope the sound of the Merlin was not blown away.

Yes, I thought that the wind might be a problem, but I think we were all very happy when the call came through that you were at dispersal and ready to roll. The recording's interesting, in that there's much more gunfire than the last time I was there, when it was a bit desultory. This time, they really took themselves on, complete with shouted commands in German. I'll edit up a small sample and post for te general listening pleasure. I was also able to get a good recording of the 25lb Field Gun that they dire off form time to time. It's loud!

I may make it to the Duxford Spring show, but will probably just come as a punter and have a good look around, possibly with my nephew, rather than be stuck in that overflow car-park again. It's about time I experienced the new stuff that's on offer at Duxford.

Best wishes to all,

John

John,
Yes, why dont you have a day off and see the sights.
I am planning to be there as well however my mother has not been well and I have had to spend some time "back home". She is on the mend albeit slowly so we'll see.
Regards
Andy
