Whilst walking numerous local airfields to me near Stamford i've picked up a few bits and pieces along the way

A selection of bottles from RAF Kings Cliffe found around the dispersed sites.

And then an item i'm sure some folks will recognise, does anyone have a photo of a fuel trap in situ please?

Some interesting finds there, I also love exploring old airfields. I was near Warboys on Sunday, so had a look around. There is a building which is in a fenced off area, ( all the info I've found says it is the DF radio block ) which I've never managed to see in before, but the fence has been cut  so had a quick peep. I noticed things like drain covers are missing, nicked for scrap no doubt.  I must remember to take a camera next time I'm up that way.

Nice find.  I'm guessing there is not much room in your shed... Grin Grin

Andy,

If I can find the rest of it, then you're welcome to take it off my hands and attempt a rebuild.

Paul B,

My shed is full of "scrap metal", everything from 2 vintage cycles, 3 modern cycles, crates of bits of aircraft, various cast iron signs oh and my lawn mower.

I did notice the gaurd house has gone from Warboys airfield.
