Rabbit Squadron break right and climb!

« on: September 01, 2011, 08:21:41 PM »

I have just returned from a lovely day at Duxford and was fortunate to witness - for my first time - Richard doing a practice display in the Spitfire.  Having been an Airshow attendee for nearly 25 years I have seen quite a few displays in my time but just wanted to say that Richards display today was fantastic ! Just after Richard another Spitfire rolled in to practice - the well known MH434, once piloted by the legend Ray Hanna - and I would say if Ray were alive today he could not have done a better job than Richard did today. A polished, smooth and energetic display of a fantastic Aircraft it brought a lump to my throat and a tear in my eye to have witnessed such a marvellous performance.  I will be attending tomorrow and for the Duxford Airshow on both days (as a Volunteer at Duxford) and can only hope I get to see such a performance again. Richard your father would be proud of you, as I am sure your family is, for bringing your fathers creation to life. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

Thank you for posting your enjoyment of Richard's practise display in ML407. I have told Richard about your post and he will be very pleased indeed.  Feedback is always so welcome.

I am exceptionally proud of Richard's skill in flying, airmanship and engineering capabilities - all of which will ensure the Grace Spitfire will remain operational for years to come.
