I love ML407!

Not taken many pics this year. Can't compete with all the long lens close ups, so this is my favourite. Carolyn doing a run and break at Duxford on 28 August. It was a showery day and I like the elemental effect of the tiny aircraft against the clouds.

Well, here are a few I took at Old Warden at the evening display on 23rd September.

I've reduced the resolution to make them easier to view.

Malc,
Brilliant pictures, I really like the 4th one being "in the cockpit" with Carolyn, you must have an even bigger attachment than Darren has !!!

Thanks for putting them on the board.

We all enjoyed that afternoon/evening did we not ?

Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the kind words.

I only have a 200mm lense but the nice thing about Old Warden and Carolyn's display was that it was at just the right distance for me to get the best out of the lense.  Some of Darren's shots taken at Duxford I wouldn't have any chance of getting.

The 4th one is quite heavily cropped.  The title that comes to mind for that one is Carolyn in the 'office'.

I've only had my digital SLR since the spring and I am still learning to get the best out of it.  Constructive criticism is therefore welcomed!

The lighting was also perfect with the planes being lit from the side rather than directly above, as is usually the case with afternoon displays.

When I get the chance I will post in the Misc Forum shots of some of the other aircraft displaying.

Malc,
Could not agree more, Duxford is the wrong way round all and I manage with my box brownie is more of a silhouette.

You can even see Carolyn's hand on the throttle inthis picture....

As for "Carolyn in the Office" then not a bad office to work in !

Andy
