Dambusters 50th Anniversary
«

Some time ago, I posted a message asking whether anyone had been at Derwentwater in May 1993. I discovered recently that someone had indeed been at that occasion, but not in a way that I had imagined. I've resurrected the recordings I made that day and have also found a link to some on-line video footage that was taken at the same time and I'm going to try and marry my sound to it. The results should please one gentleman very much indeed. Watch this space...
Regards,
John

Just a quick test: the video's from another source and I'm waiting for the owner to get in touch to see if I can get a higher quality version. It's a large file, so you'll need to wait for a while for it to load up.

For those who are in the dark, I believe that Mr Steve Kingman is on board the Lancaster, it being his birthday treat.
Nice to see the Mosquito again, as well - only three years away from that dreadful crash.
Best wishes,
John

Thank you for posting John, it was great to see the Mossi especially - and Steve (the lucky man!) - wish I had birthday prezz's like that!
I had thoughts about going up for the 70th anniversary - anyone know if there are plans for a flypast or event?

Hi Steve,
You're welcome - I had fun putting it together and it was good to go back through those recordings again. Now, get back to fettling that aircraft!
Best wishes,
John
