Rabbit Leader to Cowslip Control

Having taken my mother down to Cornwall this week to my sisters for Christmas which is an annual thing these days
I had to pop in to my sister in law who lives in North Cornwall on the way back to drop of presents etc...
OK you may be wondering where this is going..I'll explain...
As you travel north up the A39 (the Atlantic Highway) you see signs for St. Eval and then St Merryn.
St Eval was a Spitfire Station although these days it appears to be is a mass of aerials acros the airfield.
St Merryn on the other hand was where ML407 was put back together and first flew in April 1985.
I always pop by and pay my respects when passing through and remember Nick Grace who did such a wonderful job to with his big "Meccano Set" as he states in The Perfect Lady.
I never had the opportunity to meet him which is a shame but his legacy lives on !!!

Regards and hope 2012 is good for us all.

I envy your trip  - such a lovely part of the country.

Thank you for including a visit to St Merryn, I have not been there for years.

Carolyn,
Well you could always do a quick flypast if you get a display anywhere near although it is on the wrong side but would not take long in ML407 !

I just go and pay my respects, I think you know what I mean.

Regards
Andy
