This is the September show on the 2nd and 3rd September.? This is the only show the Grace Spitfire is booked for at Duxford this year so I hope that many of you can attend.?

Please note we are not booked for the Spitfire Day on the 13th August as confirmed today by the new head of Marketing and PR at Duxford Christian Pratt on CPratt@iwm.org.uk and he sent me this email confirming same:-

Hi Carolyn

As requested, and further to our previous conversations, this is to clarify that arrangements for the Spitfire Day are all in hand and that there is no specific requirement for ML407 to be on static display as part of the exterior ground-based line-up planned for the 13th.

Separately, I understand that you are booked to display at the Spitfire Anniversary airshow two weeks later - an excellent opportunity, I'm sure, for your supporters and the Duxford crowds to appreciate ML407 in the air.

Many thanks, and regards

Christian

How Patronising !

I'm amazed you have to put up with this kind of "support" Carolyn

Thank you for doing so - for our sakes

Best Regards

I've had a similar type of response from the IWM PR department at Duxford when I've contacted them about other matters. Doesn't exactly make for an easy relationship.

If it makes a noise, I'll record it. If it moves and makes a noise, I'll record it in in high definition surround-sound.

*Edit JW* Removed, please remember that this forum should not be for abusing people publicly, despite the subject being close to all our hearts - we wouldn't want any inflammatory comments ruining the relationship with Duxford for Carolyn *Edit JW*

All the very best for the weekend
