I have just discovered that this event has been cancelled...look at:
http://www.walneyairshow.co.uk/This is a great shame as it would have been the 3rd show and was FREE! yes hard to believe these days.
In July 2005 Carolyn had been invited to display and arrived on the Friday with Stevie K in the back and was the first Spitfire to land there in 60 years.
I remember the people on the ground were all very excited to have ML407 with them.
Also Richard arrived later in his Cassutt along with Dave P in his Pitts after an eventful transit !!!
The show itself was excellent and had a very laid back feel to it, it was a bit windy but it is a big very pretty open
space.
There were 2 ML407 s on the field as there was model flying in the morming and Richard Rawle had his 1/3 scale model there too.
This is a great Shame for the North West.
