I Love ML407!

« on: November 07, 2007, 02:07:54 AM »

Hi all;

It seems the spammers have now chosen to register in order to post their filth and garbage on the site.

Many of these are posted in the wee hours UK time but since I'm 5 hours behind, I can nail many of them before you see them.

Quite often, the title itself is a give away making things easier.

If you see this stuff, please don't encourage them by posting a response and not to worry, I check daily and will remove what I can.

Thanks for your understanding and hopefully they'll get the hint and go elsewhere.

Cheers.

Hi Hazel;

Unfortunately these aren't individuals but professional spammers. I guess enough suckers fall for their scams that it must be worthwhile to them still!

Cheers,

I have often reported these spam messages to James, but it might be easier if I knew how to delete them myself.
May I be told how to do this?
Thank you.
Geoff.

Hi All,

Posting from Ireland! Smiley They have the internet here and everything!

Thanks to Clive for keeping tabs on this, Darren will assist in keeping them at bay as well. I will be applying a software upgrade when I return which should help stop this.

Geoff - unfortunately you cannot delete messages as only moderators can perform this action. If you could please report the posts so we know they are appearing that will assist us greatly.

As Clive says, do not post a reply to any of these topics or click on any of the links they supply in the posts.

Thanks,

James

Katy weighs all of two tons
Is this a reference to the start of the BoB film where Robert Shaw asks
"Wheres  Jumbo ?"
"Posted missing last night".
Bit cryptic but GM will love it !

               Hello Dave

                               Nothing as clever as that i'm afraid.

                              It actually part of a quote  from one of my favourite films,
                           Quiz time---------
                                               Which film ?
                                               Who's or what's Katy ?
                                               Who said it ?  ( Actor or character name )

                                               A bit of fun for Thursday.
