Air to air over Loch Ness

If anyone has seen the latest issue of Go Flying, you will have seen some of these images. Several weeks back we flew up to Inverness, to visit the Highland flying school at the airport. It’s a stones throw from Loch Ness and we wanted to get some air to airs over the scenery. As is the way in Scotland in February, the weather was not kind, and we were treated to some heavy rain, strong winds and generally rubbish visibility. Thankfully a window of weather arrived (no sun mind you!) and we captured the following images. If anyone is visiting Inverness, take a trial lesson with these guys and see the Highlands from the air – it’s a superb sight.

Really nice pictures and I didn't see "Nessie" anywhere either but then again, Nessie is sort of reclusive.
Is the airfield you flew out from a former military one? Seems to have lots of tarmac here and there but only the main runway.
Cheers,
Clive. Stranded in the colonies. (Canada)
