I love ML407!

« on: September 05, 2006, 11:06:41 AM »

I am delighted to announce that I have been booked to display ML407 at theShuttleworth sunset Display on Saturday 23rd September.  ML407 and I will open the show at 16.30 having arrived earlier in the day at around 12.30.

For me this is quite historic as the last time I flew in a display at Shuttleworth was in  August 1973 aged 21 with Nick at the controls of our Ried and Siegrist Desford prone pilot testing aircraft which Nick had restored to flying condiiton that year and I used to sit cross legged in the front pp position.

Hope to see many of you there it is a truly wonderful place.

Carolyn

Sounds excellent Carolyn, I am not sure if I will be able to attend but will try to Smiley

I have added a post quoting this to the Displays board and linked it to the calendar for you.

Carolyn,
Have already commented on the display board but will say again that Old Warden's curved display line is something you have to experience.

I hope to be there too as I am on leave that week unless someone at home has other plans !!!

Hooray! This is a show I can get to. For anyone who hasn't experienced a display at OW, it is something special. Bring your picnics and deckchairs.

Hopefully we can have a Mini Gatthering.

!! Thank you Carolyn !!

Arrived back safely from Old Warden yesterday from the best CLOSE UP display by a Spitfire we have seen, straight at the crowd from behind the trees was awesome. Thank you for a wonderful & moving experience - keep up the good work!!!

What a fantastic display.

'407 looked superb going "Round the bend"

Many thanks, Carolyn, for kicking off the show in such a memorable fashion.

I've just found this board and registered.
Carolyn
I'd just like to say on behalf of the SVAS how much we all enjoyed your display and trip to Old Warden last weekend.
I've already been asked several times this week about if and when you're coming back.

Like everyone else, my fingers are crossed that we'll see you again bringing your beautiful Spitfire 'round the bend' at Old Warden.

Thank's for a wonderful display.
Cheers.
Andy.

PS. Steve, your round next time.

I think we can come to some agreement -
To right Andy, it would be a pleasure, thanks for the warm welcome at OW, I hope we can come again.
