Tony,
Yes the old laser height camera trick.....just had a call saying there was a Vulcan doing something similar this afternoon.

Obviously using the break in the weather.

May be a few more when I get home later.

I spent the afternoon on Miles Hill overlooking the airfield...not too much going on..a short display session with a few noisy kerosene burners however.......
For today only looking at the display info and the first one in the flesh for me an F22 Raptor...good display and departed with its F15 "little friend" who was hanging around out to the west.

Hot sun....that would be nice .......

Anyway spent the afternoon in the usual position and had to use the brolly a couple of times...cloudbase varied from maybe 1500' to 3000 occasionally which affected many of he displays.

Carolyn had to do a flat display and landed just as a belt of low cloud and rain came down.

The Reds did their formation take off and were level with me as they ran along Long Valley...interesting departure.

I think full marks and maybe medals to the Aerostars who displayed in rain and very poor visibility at the end of the show.

And it was b****y cold.

Will be back "inside" tomorrow, the weather may be a bit better..Sunday looks very good with that sun thing visible in the sky !

Regards

Andy
