Hi All,

Weird weekend weather wise but managed to get a few nice shots, I hope you enjoy them. I will post some of ML in due course in the ML board.

You can click the image for a larger version:

Seafire:

Spitfires in formation:

There were 3 DC-3's (or C-47's) on the day who did a wonderful display. J8 is a veteran of D-Day and Arnhem!

I got chatting to one of the crew from J8 who very kindly let me have a look inside this veteran aircraft:

The lovely cockpit, almost all original:

The jumpseats... mm need a parachute to sit on!

The P-40:

The Buchon 109:

And the wonderful Vulcan:

Beautiful pictures, especially of the Vulcan: what a stunning plane it is. Thanks for these, James - very impressive indeed.

If it makes a noise, I'll record it. If it moves and makes a noise, I'll record it in in high definition surround-sound.

Great shots James,
Good to see the Vulcan flying again, I can just about remember watching this type display regularly when I was a lot younger !
Thanks for sharing them

James,
Numerous compliments for some superb photos - my favorites are the trio of Spitfires and the shots of the Vulcan.

A true story about the praiseworthiness of the Vulcan and her crews:
In the mid-1970s during the chilly days of the Cold War, I happened to travel to Omaha, Nebraska, with a friend whose uncle was a U.S. Navy Lt. Commander attached to the Strategic Air Command headquarters at Offutt Air Force base.  He took us on a tour of what you could see without breaching security, including a group of aircraft out on the ramp.  One of them was a Vulcan, and I think the others included an old four-engine B-58 Hustler bomber. He described the RAF's joint exercises with SAC, including a precision bombing competion in which the RAF Vulcan was Number One - flat out the best in the world.
That impression of the Vulcan has stayed with me ever since.
Smiley You guys make some great airplanes on that side of the pond Smiley
