great display yesterday both from Carolyn and the Pitts (just how close is that exactly ?) Pair, accompanied by commentary from 'mad as a box of Frogs' Olivia, although the phrase didn't quite make an entry this time.

Who'd have thought on Saturday that people would have been complaining on Sunday that it was just too hot - i was a bit surprised i came away with a bit of sunburn.

One interesting thing we noticed this time in the crowd was just how everybod shut up when either Carolyn, the Lancaster or the Hurricane appeared - the Merlin Purr was the main focus.  Once they'd gone people started talking again.

We might need to start a competition of phrases for Olivia to try and slot in without people noticing ! Grin

Just to say, I had a great time at Sywell last sunday, and the day was made even better, by seeing the Grace Spitfire once again, of which I thought, the display was wonderful in that, you did not need a 'telescope' to view this fine performance. Thought the display was kept well within the view of the 'punters' like me. and got some great video footage of it because of who was at the 'controls' !! Always a delite to see, and long may it go on. Thought the Pitts 'duo' was great too. Looking forward for another
chance to see the aircraft again next saturday at DX.
